Welcome to my website.

In case we haven’t met, let me introduce myself. I’m a Canadian writer who has a passion for Ireland and Canada, past and present. Since I moved across the water more than three decades ago I’ve been exploring my adopted land, in my daily life and in my writing. I’ve also been digging into my memories to write about my homeland too.

Historical fiction and cozy mystery are both part of my repertoire. I really enjoy working on The Yankee Years, my series of historical novels and Short Reads set in Northern Ireland during the Second World War. After the Allied troops arrived, life there would never be the same. In these books I endeavour to weave thrilling and romantic tales of the people and the era. My most recent series, Century Cottage Cozy Mysteries, is set in rural Canada, a little over a generation ago, and I love writing these stories about a place and an era that I remember. I’ve also previously released a collection of my short stories, Dancing Shadows, Tramping Hooves and an historical novel set in 1940s/50s Ireland, Hitler and Mars Bars.
